Future Projects
In my adventure of trying to get over my fears of being pregnant, I have come up with what I consider a brilliant idea. There are not enough resources for women who are plus size and pregnant. I believe that is why these fears exist. So I want to compile/write/edit a book that contains real stories of plus size pregnancies. I know many women already have some sort of written record of their pregnancies, so it should be easy to find enough to make an anthology. So that said, if you were plus sized when you conceived, and would like to have your baby story in a book, send me your stories. I obviously can't afford to pay you for your stories, so I will donate 50% of the profits to a charity voted on by the women who "donate" their stories. If you want to talk with me more about this, just email me at byng.stephanie@gmail.com.
I still haven't decided the dimensions of the book. So, if you could
write roughly 1-2 single spaced pages on word, that should be long
enough. I very much welcome pictures, as long as they are a decent
quality. I don't want any fuzzy pics. So please include a high
resolution black and white image with your story. Specifically, I am
looking for stories that can be about anything from conception to
postpartum. They can be about trials, and sad things, as long as they
have an inspiring end. You can talk about a Dr. visit that was
difficult or excellent. You could talk about the birth itself; your
changing body image throughout;
your joy or depression after birth; etc. Anything that inspires you and
you think would inspire other beautiful fat women.
You will retain the rights to your stories. I will just be the editor.
